How Much Does Microneedling Cost in Plano? (Original vs Growth Factor vs Exosomes)

SkinStylus microneedling treatment in progress at Skin Study Med Spa in Plano, TX

If you have started researching microneedling in Plano, you have probably hit the same wall as everyone else: almost nobody publishes a price. One clinic quotes a number over the phone, another wants a consultation before it will say anything, and the ranges you find online swing by hundreds of dollars. At Skin Study Med Spa we publish every price on our menu, so this guide gives you the real numbers: what microneedling costs at our Plano studio, what each tier actually includes, and how to work out what a full plan will cost before you book.

Here is the short answer up front. Microneedling at our Plano studio runs $150 to $600 per session, depending on which serum or exosome system is paired with the treatment. Nationally, published cost guides put a single microneedling session at roughly $200 to $700, with most standard treatments landing in the $300 to $400 range, so our menu spans that market from a gentle no-downtime option below it to advanced regenerative treatments at the top. Keep reading for the full breakdown.

Microneedling pricing at a glance

SkinStylus Nanoneedling: $150. SkinStylus Microneedling (Original): $300. Microneedling + Brightening GF Serum: $400. Microneedling + Brightening Exosomes: $500. Microneedling + PEARL Exosomes: $600. Every appointment is booked as a 60-minute session.

The Short Answer: $150 to $600

Microneedling is priced by what goes into the skin, not by how long you are in the chair. All five options on our menu are 60-minute appointments. What changes between $150 and $600 is the depth of the treatment and the regenerative system infused afterward, which is where most of the cost difference in this category comes from at any studio.

That is worth knowing before you compare quotes. A $300 quote and a $600 quote elsewhere may be the same device and the same hour, separated only by the serum. Asking what is being infused is usually a more useful question than asking for the headline price.

What Is Microneedling, and What Does It Treat?

Microneedling creates controlled micro-channels in the skin. Those tiny, precise injuries trigger your body's own wound-healing response, which means new collagen and elastin in the treated area. It is often called collagen induction therapy for exactly that reason: the improvement comes from your own skin rebuilding, not from filler or a product sitting on the surface. We use the SkinStylus microneedling system paired with AnteAGE hyaluronic acid, growth factors, and exosome technology.

The American Academy of Dermatology lists acne scars, dark spots, large pores, melasma, sagging skin, scars from surgery or injury, stretch marks, uneven skin texture and tone, and wrinkles and fine lines among the concerns microneedling is used to treat. In our studio the most common reasons clients book it are acne scarring, rough or uneven texture, and early fine lines.

Numbing cream is applied first, so the treatment itself is comfortable. Downtime is mild and short: expect some redness, similar to a light sunburn, for roughly 24 to 72 hours. The AAD also stresses that training matters here, warning that microneedling performed by someone without in-depth knowledge of the skin carries a higher risk of infection, scarring, or lasting discoloration. That is a fair reason to ask any provider who will be holding the device and who oversees them. At Skin Study, microneedling is performed by licensed esthetician Leila Razipoor, and our clinical protocols are overseen by our Medical Director, Dr. Brady Steineck, MD.

What Separates the Four Microneedling Tiers

SkinStylus Microneedling (Original) - $300

The foundation treatment. SkinStylus microneedling with an AnteAGE hyaluronic acid booster, aimed at texture, fine lines, and uneven tone. If you are new to microneedling and want to see how your skin responds before committing to a longer plan, this is the sensible starting point.

Microneedling + Brightening GF Serum - $400

The same microneedling treatment, with AnteAGE growth factors and skin-repair proteins added and the session finished with LED light therapy and a soothing mask. Growth factors are signaling molecules that support the repair process the needling has just triggered, which is why this tier is a common choice for clients focused on brightness and recovery.

Microneedling + Brightening Exosomes - $500

This tier swaps in AnteAGE exosomes. Exosomes are regenerative messengers that support skin repair, hydration, and collagen renewal, and pairing them with microneedling is intended to enhance both the result and the recovery compared with microneedling alone. It also finishes with LED and a soothing mask.

Microneedling + PEARL Exosomes - $600

Our most advanced option, using the AnteAGE P.E.A.R.L system: exosomes plus PDRN, PDGF, antioxidants, and amino acids in one protocol. It is built for accelerated, multi-correction renewal, so it tends to suit clients addressing several concerns at once rather than a single, isolated issue.

Where Nanoneedling Fits at $150

Nanoneedling is the one option on the list that is not microneedling in the clinical sense, which is exactly why it costs less. Instead of creating channels deep enough to remodel tissue, it creates microscopic channels in the outer layer of the skin to maximize serum absorption, without injury and without downtime. No numbing is needed.

That makes it a genuinely different purchase rather than a cheaper version of the same thing. Nanoneedling is for glow, absorption, and maintenance between treatments. It will not resurface an acne scar. If scarring or deep texture is your goal, the $300 Original is the honest entry point, and we would rather tell you that than sell you a $150 session that cannot do the job.

How Many Sessions Will You Need?

This is the part most price guides skip, and it matters far more to your budget than the per-session number. Microneedling works through collagen remodeling, and collagen takes time. For acne scars, the AAD notes you may need 3 to 5 treatments, performed every 2 to 4 weeks. It also sets expectations clearly on timing: results appear gradually as your body produces collagen, you may see improvement within a few weeks, and it usually takes several months to see full results.

So the realistic way to budget microneedling is per plan, not per visit. Using our published prices, a 3 to 5 session series works out like this:

Tier3 sessions5 sessions
SkinStylus Microneedling (Original), $300$900$1,500
Microneedling + Brightening GF Serum, $400$1,200$2,000
Microneedling + Brightening Exosomes, $500$1,500$2,500
Microneedling + PEARL Exosomes, $600$1,800$3,000

For context, the same national cost guides put a complete microneedling treatment plan somewhere between $600 and $4,200 depending on the market and the tier chosen, so a Plano series with us sits inside that range rather than at either extreme.

Worth knowing before you book

You do not have to commit to the whole series up front, and you do not have to stay on one tier. Plenty of clients start with the Original, see how their skin responds over the first two visits, and step up to a growth-factor or exosome tier only if their goal calls for it.

What Actually Drives the Price Difference

When you compare microneedling quotes across Plano and North Dallas, the gap usually comes down to a short list of things:

  • What is infused afterward. Hyaluronic acid, growth factors, exosomes, and a full PEARL protocol are genuinely different products at genuinely different costs, and this is the single biggest driver on our own menu.
  • Whether LED and a finishing mask are included. Our upgrade tiers include both rather than charging for them separately.
  • Depth and device. A medical-grade system such as SkinStylus is not the same tool as a cosmetic roller, and nanoneedling deliberately does not go as deep.
  • Who performs it and who oversees them. Licensed, medically supervised care costs more to deliver than an unsupervised treatment, and the AAD's warning about untrained providers is the reason that difference exists.
  • Whether the price you are quoted is the price you pay. Consultation fees and per-serum add-ons are where a $300 quote quietly becomes $450.

How to Choose the Right Option

Start from the goal rather than the price, then work back to the tier that fits:

  • Acne scars or established texture: start with the Original at $300, planned as a series. Add growth factors or exosomes if you want to support recovery between sessions.
  • Fine lines and early aging: the Original or the growth-factor tier, again as a short series rather than a one-off.
  • Dullness, dryness, or a pre-event glow: nanoneedling at $150, with no downtime to plan around.
  • Several concerns at once, or you want the most support per session: the exosome tiers at $500 and $600.

It is also worth knowing that microneedling is not always the right tool. If your main concern is surface pigment or congestion rather than scarring, a chemical peel or a clinical corrective facial may get you there for less. We wrote a full comparison of the two approaches in microneedling vs chemical peel for acne scars if you are weighing them against each other. And if you want results with no downtime at all, a HydraFacial is a different route to a similar-feeling glow.

The Bottom Line on Microneedling Pricing

Microneedling in Plano costs $150 to $600 per session at our studio, and the number that actually matters is the plan: most people addressing scarring or texture should budget for a 3 to 5 session series spaced 2 to 4 weeks apart. Everything is published, nothing is quoted behind a consultation fee, and you are free to change tiers as your skin responds.

Our clients have made us a 5.0-star studio across 53 Google reviews, and a good share of that comes from being straight with people about what a treatment will and will not do before they pay for it.
