What Is PEARL Exosome Microneedling?

Microneedling with an exosome serum infusion at Skin Study Med Spa in Plano, TX

Microneedling + PEARL Exosomes sits at the top of our microneedling menu at $600, and it is the treatment people ask about most without quite knowing what it is. PEARL is not a different machine, a deeper treatment or a longer appointment. It is the same SkinStylus microneedling session as every other tier, finished with the most complete regenerative protocol we offer.

So this page does one job: explain what is actually in it, what it adds over the exosome tier below it, and who we think it suits - without inventing a result to justify the price.

The one-line version

Microneedling + PEARL Exosomes is $600 for a 60 minutes appointment: SkinStylus microneedling finished with the AnteAGE P.E.A.R.L system - exosomes, PDRN, PDGF, antioxidants and amino acids - for what our menu describes as accelerated multi-correction renewal. The tier below it, Microneedling + Brightening Exosomes at $500, infuses AnteAGE exosomes with LED light therapy and a soothing mask.

The Short Answer

Microneedling creates controlled micro-channels that trigger your own collagen and elastin renewal. That is the treatment, and it is identical across all four microneedling tiers on our menu - same device, same hour, same numbing cream, same depth decision made at your skin analysis.

What each tier changes is the serum system driven into those channels while they are open. PEARL is the most complete of those systems. If you have landed here searching for an "exosome facial" in Plano, that is worth knowing: what we offer is exosomes paired with microneedling, not a standalone exosome facial, because the channels are what let the serum get anywhere useful.

What Exosomes Are

Exosomes are regenerative messengers that support skin repair, hydration and collagen renewal. Paired with microneedling, they are intended to enhance both the result and the recovery compared with microneedling alone - which is the whole reason the upgrade tiers exist.

The important framing, and we would rather say it twice than let it get lost: the needling is the treatment. The AAD's figure for acne scarring - that studies show microneedling "can fade acne scars by 50% to 70%" across 3 to 5 treatments every 2 to 4 weeks - is attached to the needling protocol, not to a serum. Exosomes are support for that process. They are not a substitute for completing the course.

If you are weighing exosomes against the other add-on you will have read about, we covered that separately in microneedling with exosomes vs PRP. Short version: we offer AnteAGE exosomes and we do not offer PRP, which requires a blood draw.

What Is in the PEARL Protocol

Our menu describes the AnteAGE P.E.A.R.L system as exosomes plus PDRN, PDGF, antioxidants and amino acids, in one protocol, aimed at accelerated multi-correction renewal. That list is the honest extent of what we will tell you about its composition, because it is what the product's own description supports.

We are deliberately not going to walk you through a mechanism for each component, assign it a percentage, or tell you what it does in our hands. Nobody has published a head-to-head comparison of this protocol against the exosome tier below it, and a studio inventing one would be making it up. What we can be specific about is the difference in what you are buying, which is the table below.

The $100 between the two tiers buys the additional components in the protocol. It does not buy a deeper treatment, a longer appointment or a different device - and we would rather you knew that before you chose, not after.

Who We Book It For

"Multi-correction" is the useful word on the menu, and it maps onto a recognizable kind of client:

  • Several concerns at once. Acne scarring and uneven tone and fine lines, rather than one isolated issue.
  • People who want maximum support per visit. Sometimes because the calendar only allows a few appointments, sometimes simply because they would rather do it that way.
  • Skin that has been through a lot recently. Where recovery support is as much the point as correction.
  • Clients already running a microneedling series who want to step a session up without changing anything else about the plan.

And the people we steer away from it: anyone new to microneedling who has not yet seen how their skin responds, and anyone whose budget means choosing between one session here and a full series lower down the menu. In that second case the answer is not close - $900 spent on three sessions of the SkinStylus Microneedling (Original) will do more than $600 spent once. The full ladder is laid out in which microneedling is right for you.

What It Is Not

  • Not an injectable. Nothing is injected. The serum is driven into micro-channels created by the needling.
  • Not PRP. No blood draw, no centrifuge - see exosomes vs PRP.
  • Not a filler. Nothing is added to fill a scar or a line; the correction comes from your own collagen response.
  • Not a deeper or more aggressive treatment. Depth is set at your skin analysis by what your skin needs, not by which tier you booked.
  • Not a way to skip the series. One session of anything is one remodeling cycle.
  • Not RF microneedling. We do not use radiofrequency devices at all - the reasoning is in our aftercare guide.

The Session, and the Series

A PEARL appointment runs the same shape as any microneedling visit here: skin analysis, numbing cream, the SkinStylus pass, then the P.E.A.R.L infusion. Expect redness like a light sunburn for roughly 24 to 72 hours afterward, written aftercare to take home, and the same sunscreen conversation everyone gets. If it is your first time, what happens at a first microneedling appointment walks through the hour in detail.

On planning: microneedling works as a course. For acne scarring the AAD's range is 3 to 5 sessions every 2 to 4 weeks, and at $600 that is $1,800 to $3,000. You are not required to run a whole series at one tier - plenty of clients mix, stepping up for some sessions and not others. How many microneedling sessions you need covers the pacing, and the cost guide covers the budgeting.

Screening is the same at every tier and happens at the analysis: prescription medications including isotretinoin and retinoids, recent waxing, lasers or peels elsewhere, a history of cold sores, pregnancy or nursing, and anything active on the skin. The AAD additionally advises against microneedling if you heal slowly or poorly, have had a keloid scar, or have a weakened immune system due to a medical condition or medication.

Microneedling + PEARL Exosomes is $600, and the rest of the microneedling menu runs from SkinStylus Nanoneedling at $150 through the SkinStylus Microneedling (Original) at $300, the brightening growth-factor serum at $400 and brightening exosomes at $500. All of it is on the published price list, and the skin analysis is part of the appointment rather than a consultation fee.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is the top tier of the microneedling menu at Skin Study Med Spa: SkinStylus microneedling finished with the AnteAGE P.E.A.R.L system - exosomes, PDRN, PDGF, antioxidants and amino acids - described on our menu as accelerated multi-correction renewal. It is $600 for a 60 minutes appointment. The needling itself is identical to every other microneedling tier; what changes is the serum system infused into the micro-channels afterward.
